Paul Arnold, MD, PhD

Dr. Arnold is the inaugural Director of the Mathison Centre for Mental Health & Education and an Associate Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Medical Genetics at the University of Calgary. He holds the AIHS Translational Health Chair in Child and Youth Mental Health. His medical and graduate training took place at the University of Toronto, and subsequent to this he was a faculty member at University of Toronto and the Hospital for Sick Children from 2006 to 2015. Dr. Arnold's research focuses on the genetics and neurobiology of childhood OCD and related neuropsychiatric disorders. He is on the steering committee of the IOCDF Genetics Collaborative. His work has been funded by major external grants from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Ontario Brain Institute.
