Lee Shuer is Co-founder of Mutual Support Consulting. He is an internationally recognized speaker, advocate, and trainer, focusing on peer support and empowerment for people living with mental health challenges. He has made dozens of speaking and training appearances across the United States and Australia.
He is an Advanced Level WRAP Facilitator and a Certified Peer Specialist; he uses his personal recovery story to mentor others working through hard times. He is the author of WRAP for Reducing Clutter, and The Mutual Support Workbook. He partnered with Dr. Randy Frost to create The Facilitator’s Guide for Running the Buried in Treasures Workshop.
Lee’s work has been featured on several media outlets, including The New York Times, Huff Post Live, Scientific American, and CBS Sunday Morning. He received citations from the Massachusetts State Senate and House of Representatives for developing meaningful employment opportunities for people living with mental health challenges in 2010. In 2013 he was presented with the Outstanding Advocate award from the Mental Health Association of San Francisco, for raising awareness about peer support and developing self-help groups for people who collect and clutter.
