KELLEY FRANKE, MA, received her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. The primary focus in her graduate work was the application of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and “third wave” therapies such as Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for anxiety-based disorders and trauma. Kelley has also completed training in DBT from The Linehan Institute. Her prior clinical experience includes working as a counselor at Exodus Recovery in East Los Angeles, where she provided individual and group therapy focusing on CBT and DBT, including co-leading a DBT group. Kelley has also worked as a therapist at the Living Success Center in Costa Mesa, providing individual therapy, couples therapy, and group therapy for clients struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma and loss, as well as the California Family Institute in Costa Mesa, where she worked with clients experiencing OCD, GAD, Panic Disorder, and depression. Additionally, prior to joining the clinical staff of the OCD Center of Los Angeles, Kelley worked at OCDLA as a behavioral assistant and as our client coordinator. She is also the co-author of our weekly subscription series, Reflections on Skin Picking and Hair Pulling. Before entering the field of counseling, Kelley earned her bachelor’s degree at Santa Clara University in Northern California. She is a member of the International Psychology Honors Society (Psi Chi), the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT), the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF), and the TLC Foundation for Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors.
