Alexander Solodyna, PsyD

Dr. Solodyna's areas of specialized training and expertise includes the treatment of anxiety, OCD, depression, substance use/misuse, major mental illness, and neuropsychological and personality assessment. Dr. Solodyna provides evidence-based psychotherapy for these conditions, as well as assessment services for ADHD, learning disabilities, dementia, and other neurocognitive and psychological conditions.   In addition to his private practice in Belmont, MA, Dr. Solodyna is an Instructor of Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, Family Therapist at the OCD Institute at McLean Hospital, and Adjunct Instructor in the College of Professional Studies at Northeastern University, where he teaches graduate-level students how to conduct psychotherapy, specifically health behavior change, motivational interviewing, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. Further, he is a Psychology Consultant to Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital, where he has trained and supervised graduate-level trainees in the administration of and development of individualized cognitive enhancement and restructuring therapy.  Dr. Solodyna also regularly provides lectures and training on motivational interviewing and exposure therapy to agencies and hospitals in Massachusetts.
